In motion ?a traffic program for Nacka is the result of a survey of the traffic system and transportation situation in Nacka and suggests possible development opportunities. A new traffic strategy will be developed in the municipality of Nacka the coming years, which is the reason for this study: to map the current situation, identify strengths and weaknesses, needs and opportunities. This program suggests possible development opportunities and gives an historical overview of the transportation system, the current situation and an analysis of different transportation modes. A mapping of other municipalities? traffic strategies or programs have been done and included into the program as well as a prognosis for the coming years in the municipality.

This thesis is a study of the indicated connection between degree of market orientated solutions and range of formal actions against corruption in Swedish municipalities. The indicated connection points in the direction that municipalities with a high degree of market orientated solutions have a higher range of formal actions against corruptionthan municipalities with a low degree of market orientated solutions. In this thesis the indicated connection is studied by analyzing documents fromand interviewing representatives of two Swedish municipalities with differentdegree of market oriented solutions; Botkyrka municipality representing a lowdegree and Nacka municipality representing a high degree. The results of analyzed documents and interviews show the range of formal actions taken against corruption by the municipalities.The empirical results of this thesis is that Nacka municipality have a higher range of formal actions against corruption than Botkyrka municipality has, a result which corresponds with and confirm the indicated connection between high degree of market orientated solutions and high range of formal actions against corruption..

This essay shows how natural areas in Älta, a part of Nacka municipality southeast from Stockholm, been changed quantitatively and qualitative as a result of the increased housing construction in the area. Three issues are discussed. Namely: how has Ältas green areas been changed in sizes and quality in line with the settlement's expansion, what is the reason or the reasons to building of different types of accommodations, what has been and is the operators in connection with building of the different types of accommodations?The essay shows that the green areas has been decreased with over 2 km from 1901 to 2000 and in addition to these areas of approximately 1,1km been converted to a planned green structure. Älta has during the years gone through four eras of building types an era of small family houses ? an era of building one million houses on a national scale ? an era of terrace houses ? an era of sporadic building of different housing types (one family houses, pair houses, terrace houses and small blocks of flats).

This essay discusses the interaction between the authorities in Nacka municipality in Sweden and supervisors within the eldercare. In Nacka politicians have gradually started delegate responsibility for how care-giving for the elder should be done and focus instead on formulating economical objectives and overall rules. It is up to the approved supervisors of eldercare to deliver good care and quality. The method chosen to accomplish this is public choice. This method is a part of the big New Public Management (NPM) reform which have had a big impact on Swedish public sector since the 1980´s.

This study has investigated how urban vegetation can be used in a multifunctional way to support ecosystem services in urban environments. Nacka municipality is in the start-up phase of building what is to become Nacka city. This provides a unique possibility to study and analyse what role the vegetation play in making the city a healthy living environment and how it needs to be adapted in order to be resilient against changing climate conditions and how the effects of those changes can be regulated. The study further investigates how airborne pollution, caused by urbanization processes, can be regulated or reduced by vegetation or species selection. Methods used in this study were a combination of qualitative interviews and literature studies, seeking to answer the questions: Which specific ecosystem functions are needed in the urban environment and which aspects will influence the ecosystems ability to deliver the functions in demand? And which plant species have the right mechanisms needed to deliver those functions? These questions have been studied and analysed in a local based context where the local conditions ands site specific needs of Nacka define criteria for plant selection.

Låt oss anta att Nacka kommun, företag och medborgare i samverkan ser den nya tunnelbanesträckningen till Nacka centrum som en möjlighet att skapa de ?trendbrott? i dagens utveckling som behövs för att stödja att centrala Nacka uppfyller sin del av tvågradersmålet till 2050.Studien använder sig av den normativa scenariotekniken backcasting och utgår från ovanstående antagande för att skapa ett scenario för 2030. Scenariot illustrerar en metod för hur planerare, politiker och andra aktörer kan samverka för att bidra till en hållbar stadsutveckling. Scenariot har tagits fram med hjälp av en workshop med deltagare inom olika kunskapsområden från ett konsultbolag i samhällsbyggnadsbranschen och Nacka kommun, där backcastingtekniken tillämpades.Syftet med studien är att illustrera ett alternativ för hur centrala Nacka år 2030 kan se ut om Nacka kommun med andra aktörer i samverkan bestämde sig för att ge ett bidrag till att centrala Nacka ska uppfylla sin del av tvågradersmålet, samt att ge exempel på hur backcasting kan användas i samhällsplaneringen.Studien utgår ifrån att den idag planerade t-banedragningen till Nacka centrum kommer att bli av, och att det i sin tur blir en möjlighet för förändring mot en hållbar utveckling i de centrala delarna av Nacka. Studien har även ett aktörsperspektiv och kartlägger vilka aktörer som idag är med och påverkar utvecklingen i centrala Nacka och vilka som enlig scenariot för 2030 kommer att vara med och påverka utvecklingen.

Detta examensarbete jämför olika rättighetsupplåtelser som kan användas för att säkra allmänna VA-ledningar som ligger i mark som inte ägs av ledningshavaren. När fastighetsägaren och ledningshavaren har en överenskommelse bör de välja att säkra ledningen med ett avtalsservitut eller en ledningsrätt. Avtalsservitutets främsta egenskaper är en låg upprättandekostnad, går att upprätta snabbt samt att den underlättar vid en framtida flytt av ledningen medan ledningsrättens främsta fördel är att den gäller med bästa rätt i fastigheten. Jämförelsen mellan de olika rättigheterna visade att ledningshavaren borde använda sig av ledningsrätten men i de fall avtalsservitutets fördelar passar bättre för situationen kan även den användas. När det inte finns en överenskommelse har ledningshavaren möjlighet att expropriera marken genom ledningsrätt eller mark- och miljödomstolen. Arbetet behandlar de negativa konsekvenserna med en oskyddad VA-ledning, ledningshavaren kan t.ex.

Kvalité i äldrevården är något det bland politiker talas väldigt mycket om, men som det ur ett vetenskapligt perspektiv relativt sett inte har skrivits mycket om. Sätten att organisera sin äldrevård runt om i landet skiljer sig vitt åt och säkerligen har detta effekter på kvaliteten. Ett sätt att organisera sin äldrevård är via kundvalssystem, där kunden får en vårdpeng som kunden väljer var och hos vem den vill bruka tjänsten inom kommunen. En kommun som kommit långt i sitt utvecklande av kundvalssystemet är Nacka kommun. Med hjälp av enkätundersökningar, intervjuer och andra empiriska studier har vi försökt att utvärdera om kvaliteten inom äldrevården i Nacka kommun har blivit bättre eller sämre sedan införandet.

This master thesis explores the nature of public participation as a central and most current subject in the field of urban planning. A first impression exposes a seemingly unanalyzed consensus on the values and benefits which public participation provides the process of urban planning. The city may be a concern to all its inhabitants; hence knowledge and opinions of the local public are of great importance for the urban development. But is there really something new to these assumptions, and are the advantages of increased public participation in urban planning always obvious?  By using action research as a main method, I have put myself into the context of the Swedish municipality of Nacka and their projects dealing with the development of public participation.

Kultur är en stor del av samhället och går ofta förbi obemärkt. Kulturorganisationer som Bonniers Konsthall och Nacka Kulturcentrum, Dieselverkstaden, arbetar aktivt med kulturverksamhet för barn och unga för att uppmärksamma kulturens betydelse. Syftet med denna jämförande studie är att behandla hur barn- och ungdomsverksamheten påverkas av de respektive organisationernas finansiering och handlande ur både ett privat och offentligt perspektiv. I den kvalitativa jämförelsen och analysen studeras material från media, hemsidor, årsredovisningar och intervjuer. Uppsatsen kommer att utreda på vilket sätt omgivningen innebär osäkerheter, möjligheter samt beroenden för de båda kulturorganisationerna.

This project is a contribution in the debate of sustainable city planning. The conceptual ideas in this project can be used on many places and are here applyed on the center of Nacka, outside of Stockholm. The essay is based on an entry in the competition Europan 9, advertised by Europan in collaboration with the municipality of Nacka. The theme of the competition is ?sustainable city and public space?. The discussion of the sustainable city is a very wide subject which needs to be narrowed to suite the context of Nacka.

Who runs the development? A comparative study of the construction of residential buildings in Nacka and Södertälje.The aim of this study is to identify actors involved in the initiation and implementation of residential house construction in two Swedish municipalities. This means who is taking initiative for new residential buildings, who affects the planning process, who finances these new buildings and who builds them. By exploring empiric material from the municipalities of Nacka and Södertälje, the above questions will be answered and by referring to pluralism, growth machine theory and regime theory a link to general theories of political science is made. The results found show that the analysed municipalities have quite different possibilities for acting and that these backgrounds are also important for which actors will take initiative for new residential buildings and which actors will be allowed to state their opinion during the planning process.

Denna uppsats syftar till att se hur Nacka kommun styr sina bibliotek i offentlig och privat regi och om det finns en skillnad i synsättet på bibliotekets samhällsuppdrag mellan biblioteken som påverkar hur dessa tolkar och implementerar de krav som kommunen ställer. En förstudie gjordes i form av en observation på respektive bibliotek samt intervju med en ombudsman och en utredare för facket DIK för att få större inblick i ämnet. Intervjuer med respondenter från ett bibliotek som drivs i privat regi och ett offentligt bibliotek genomfördes samt en intervju med en utvärderingsexpert hos Nacka kommun. Informationen från dessa intervjuer analyserades sedan efter de utvalda organisationsteorier som valts ut efter uppsatsens syfte. Resultatet av analysen visade på en skillnad i synsättet hos respektive bibliotek både på ett organisatoriskt plan och i det utbud bibliotek erbjuder till medborgarna.

Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.
